Does anyone know if the IIIN cassettes are interchangeable withe the older non IIIN backs? I have the older backs and see tons of the IIIN cassettes ebay, but none of the older ones.

Thanks Max, I appreciate the info. I'm actually am finding a few of the older style cassettes on eBay just not one with the nifty plastic case like most of the most the IIIN cassettes seem to have. I did just buy one old style with a case from Japan, so figure if I'm patient I can find some more.

Hi. I know you posted this ages ago but I’ve just read it. I have a III film back on my GX680 first version, everything seems to operate as it should. Was planning to use it tomorrow. I have already loaded the film and it has wound on to the first frame position seemingly OK.
Anything I should know?

The film backs exchange but the cassettes within the backs don’t. You should be fine.
