Recently I acquired a massive Fujifilm FineScan 2750 professional flatbed scanner for just 30€. It weights 60kg and was by far the largest photography-related purchase I ever had and also the largest pain to get on working.
The Scanner came with all the SCSI cables and terminators, Software CD-ROM, manuals, calibration targets, reflection mat, slide carriers and everything. Except the dongle... Also, I didn't know that I needed a PowerMac with specific SCSI boards, and how much these Macs still cost. My scanner is also one of the latter models and is equipped with a FireWire connection, so it might get easier to connect. But I still need a dongle.
I happen to be able to fabricate a new dongle, because the previous owner wrote all the security codes an SN ond the front page of the manual. But I still need to know what is inside the dongle, through a lsusb command on the terminal). And what kind of files are inside.
If anyone out there can share that information, it will be most helpful thank you. If I can back engineer this 20yo tech, I'l share it to everyone that might be suffering the same problem.
