Fujica ST801 Slow shutter speed issues, shutter opens but doesn't close

Hey Everyone,

Recently got an as-is ST801 as I am trying to find a m42 body that I like.
Seems to work well except the shutter speeds slower than 60 have issues. The shutter opens but doesnt close when charged for 30, 15, 8, 4, 2, and 1. Shutter opens, but doesnt close at these speeds.

The only way to then close the shutter when it gets stuck open is twist the shutter speed dial to a speed faster than 30 which will immediately close the shutter. Turning to Bulb will also close the shutter. Bulb functions correctly.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Is there a way to fix?

The slow speed mechanism of the shutter is sticky from some combination of disuse, small amounts of dirt/dust, and small amounts of old lube. It needs to be cleaned.

Copy thanks. I found a repair manual online for it. I would host it here for reference but I paid $1 dollar for it to that website archive that asks very politely to not upload their stuff (learncamerarepair.com) I have some naptha and precision screw drivers. Maybe this weekend I will pretend I am a repairman. Can't be more complicated than a moving light.
