Hello everyone,
I recently picked up a Fuijica 35 ml at an auction in a lot with some photo items. It seems to be in great cosmetic shape.
But the shutter is jammed,
or that is what i think is the problem, also the f-stop and shutter speed adjustment is out of sinc. Probably the same problem both ways.
There is noone in my area that works on film cameras, so i was wondering how difficult would one of these be to dissemble..ie require special tools, spanner wrenches..ect. I tried tacking photos of the shutter, but i only have a old kodak easy share 5 meg. and i'm not getting the detail i need. hopefully there is someone around here that has seen this problem and can lend me some direction.
Any help will be much appreciated. LabRat

. Shutter and aperture blades are connected with tiny pins . Made from old sticky shiny metal . Even very small amount of grease will slow down shutter speed . Just buy another one - could be better. But if you still want to clean it -the best way is : open lens front ring with Fuji name on it . You'll see Front side of lens with another two rings . Do not touch lens ring ,- open Outer ring and unscrew lens body /front side of lens/. Next get ZIPPO and Q tips : few drops of Zippo and Mop it . few drops of Zippo and Mop it..few drops of Zippo and Mop it , AS LONG AS IT TAKES . Keep lens open let it dry 12-14 hours . Try . If not do it again . Or buy a better one .
