What is this camera like in manual mode?

If it is anything like the X100F, it works just fine. Unless you're talking about manual focus. The controls suck for that. You have to use live view mode and the focus ring is tiny.

It shows focus scale in VF. But it is too small. And in enlarged menu view it is not available.

The F has a focus scale in the viewfinder, too. Good if you are good at estimating distance, but I would prefer live view for focusing. Having said that, AF is better for me.

X100V supposed to have split image emulation in the hybrid VF.
But with crappy implementation of MF, no wonder AF is the only real choice.
