This is a new site with Fujifilm behind it.

www.choose-film.com

It may only be Fujifilm UK and not the whole corporation, but that's fine too. It is probably the one site where I can communicate to Fujifilm re: what I would like to see happening in terms of film availability. I used the opportunity for a plea for a ULF film yearly run. If you feel strongly about it too I urge you to jump in a make your voice heard.

Or if you want to find Neopan Across 8x10 in the US or Europe...

Cheers!

I have dreamed more than once to hold the Acros plant hostage (this is a joke for those without a sence of humor) until they deliver to me several boxes of 12"x20" 100ASA Acros! Ah, I can see the contrast now.

Fuji seems amenable to special orders, if you can assemble enough purchasers to make the minimum. An order speaks louder than a plea, I suspect.

David,

I was under the assumption from reading threads in the past that Fuji was in fact NOT amenable to special orders, and that's why I thought that sending a signal that there are people committed to ULF and willing to go through the process of special ordering could help. Have there been in the past special orders placed by the ULF community?

My impression is that they do 8x10" by special order, not sure about larger. I think the issue is that it's a very high minimum. They've also made Velvia 50 stock available in quantity for a couple of companies that are reperfing it for Super-8.

Super-8 Velvia is way cool, and it's old Velvia 50. You can get it (16mm too) from Spectra in the US--

and GK Film is the source in Europe--

My understanding is that these companies bought the remaining old Velvia 50 35mm stock, and it's being stored at Fuji as it's being recut and reperfed.

I shot a test roll of the film from Spectra and the color and grain are nice. There have been some chatter issues, perhaps due to the film thickness, and I think I may have had that problem, but it may have been my projector.

Acros is good film, but they don't make the large sizes. Couldn't people just buy Delta or T-Max or something? I mean, it's not like they are going to make that forever if people don't buy it.
