Fuji QW Hypo clearing agent

the magenta base left on Tri-X kind of bothered me so I bought some Fuji Quickwash since Kodak is not readily avialable here in Japan.
Instructions say 1 min in QW, we gave it two and the film still came out with the pink/magneta base color.
I wash all film for at least 10 mins.
Ilford film don't have this problem at all.

Any ideas what's causing this?
Is the QW not working? Should I even need the quickwash?
I mixed it according to instructions.

You are probably one of the few people on APUG using Fuji chemicals as they don't seem to be widely distributed outside of Japan. I suspect that Fuji Quick Wash is a hypo clearing solution. Could you confirm this.

I don't know if Hypo clearing solutions are necessarily better at dissolving the sensitizing / anti-halation dyes than fixer or plain water rinses.

I normally fix Tri-X for 6 mins in Ilford Rapid Fix or Hypam, (whatever is available), and use the Ilford wash method with an extra couple of dump and fills at the end. I get lovely, untinted black and white negs.

I actually also use Ilford's rapid fixer. I use the working solution of the fixer for 5 mins. Don't know if 6 mins would make much of a difference.
For washing, I've tried Ilford methods with extra dumps and 10+ mins under running water and it makes no difference to my results.
I'll see if I can find an Ilford hypo clearing agent.

Whilst we do make and sell ILFORD Washaid, I think you probably need a longer fix and a longer wash.

I can try that, but do you think that 5 mins with Ilford's rapid fixer and 10 mins under running water is not enough?
I also shoot Delta3200 and HP5+, both of which don't have that problem.

Kodak mention the pink colour in their data sheet you need to read.
The Fuji hypo clear or Kodak hypo clear is good.
The pink dye will clear by itself but residual silver halide or thiosulphate won't reverting to silver in time.
I use 15 mins with sink syphon if temperature is above 15c, longer if colder.
