Fuji Provia 400x available in Tokyo, Japan?

Hello APUG, I am going to find myself in Tokyo, Japan in July. I have heard conflicting reports that Provia 400x still maybe available on the shelves there. Can anyone confirm or deny? Internet searching hasn't revealed much.

I doubt it - it seems to be sold out everywhere in Japan. If you are lucky, you may stumble upon it in some small out-of-the-way shop, but who knows how it will have been stored.

It is very hard to find, and i think you will not see it in retail anywhere. Even at the auction site, supply is getting scarce during the last months and prices are through the roof.

I hope kodak brings out a 400 iso ektachrome to fill the gap.

Yes, it's available ath BIC Camera or Yodobashi. Very expensive though.

Provia 100F is available - 400x is not and hasn't been for some time.

I was in Tokyo in March and can't remember seeing any 400x at Yodobashi Akihabara or Shinjuku, nor at Bic Shinjuku. (I haven't visited other stores)

You can easily push Provia 100 two stops. Of course, you can push Provia 400 two stops as well.

It didn't last long after the announcement to discontinue it a while back.

It's still available in some online E-bay stores. It seems like the last batch has an expiry date of 10/2017; haven't seen any later dates so it must be discontinued.

It's been discontinued since the end of 2015.
