I recently bought two 100 ft rolls of Neopan 1600. As I have never used this film I would appreciate comments and experiences with this film.

Hi, I exposed Fuji 1600 Film at an exposure index of 1600 and processed in Microdol-X 1:3 for 14 min at 75 F. I decided that the next roll I will use an ei of 1250 for better shadow detail and increase development time by 10% for stronger highlights. I have seen some beautiful 16X20 inch prints from what the photographer said was Fuji 1600 film.

Hi,
Fuji Neopan 1600 @ 1600 ISO is a great film for low light stuff. I find it goes well in XTOL (neat) at 8 mins. The grain will be there but is only a tad more than what would you would expect to see with TriX in Rodinal. The Fuji 1600 / XTOL combo is my standard fast film partnership.

Neil.

Neil, Joseph: Thanks for your advice.
Sparx: Thanks and what speed did you rate the film?
