I got some film given to me. Much of the images came out OK the leaks were just the edge. How old is this film? When was it sold in the store? When they had this film was this the Provia 100F equivalent at the time or was this an additional film together with Provia 100F?
It does not seem that be as sharp as Provia.
Cheers.
I remember when it was available. It was designed for pushing, so you could use it at EI 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1000.
This isnt' a "provia 100F equivalent" because I remember it being sold at the same time Astia 100, Velvia and Provia were available. In my view, the films' uses were easy to understand:
- Velvia for landscape / ultra-high saturation
- Astia for model shots / skin shots / things that require accurate (non punchy) colors and moderate contrast
- Provia for general usage / saturated colors
- MS 100/1000 for press photographers !
