Hi there.

Looking for someone who can take on a repair for a winder on a Fuji klasse W. i sold it earlier in the year and it was returned after a couple of weeks with a claim that it wasn’t working when it arrived.
Anyway, it’s a wonderful little camera that’d I’d love to get working again. Based in US so ideally there. I’d like to find someone who’d at least give it a go.

Thanks - no luck yet in anyone able to get the parts to take it on. Maybe it needs to go to Japan?

Ok, I tried pretty much everyone no one was willing to take it on. So as a final roll of the dice I decided to open here up myself. Taking the bottom plate off there’s a series of small plastic cogs that power the wind mechanism. after carefully making sure they were all back in the correct position I put it back together and it worked! it was amazing to me how fragile the system was. Just putting this up there in case anyone else seems to have the same problem and can’t get a repair shop (even in Japan) to take on the repair.

Hi!! I can’t find anywhere that can fix my Klasse. I don’t know what exactly is wrong with it, the LED screen keeps blinking and it won’t take pictures. Sounds like something wrong with the gears. Do you have any suggestions? Wondering if I should just sell for parts and buy and new one.

Not sure if it is the same problem, Mine wouldn’t load film. The motor was running but the film spool wasn’t turning. The film counter would flash after it tried, and failed to load film. The motor would also turn if you hit rewind. Not sure if that matches with what you have going on. Sounds like the motor wind could be having more trouble. If it matches mine then I took off the base plate and then the plate under that and moved the small plastic cogs into the right position. It was pretty easy to put back together after. Working so fine.

I can recommend contacting repair expert Pierro Pozella:

He has lots of experience with premium compact cameras. And he has an excellent reputation for repairing cameras which other repair technicians have refused to even touch.

Best regards,
Henning
