The Instax Mini cameras I've used take surprisingly sharp little photos, especially for subjects within the range of 7-15 feet. We have the older Mini 7s, which has a fixed focus & shutter speed with manually selected aperture. As far as I know, the newer Mini 8 is similar. The more expensive Instax Mini cameras do not give much manual control, but the Neo 90 is a very able snapshot camera. The Instax Wide film is attractive too, but the choice of cameras is so far limited. I'm hoping for the development of an Instax Wide back for 4x5 cameras to replace the peel-apart film backs.
