I'm happy user of GX680III and now not so happy with the Polaroid back I bought second hand from ebay.

The GX680III doesn't fire the shutter with this Polaroid back. I'm guessing now the Polaroid back is older version and is not compatible with GX680III which thinks the film back is not ready. The Polaroid back has no electrical contacts or whatever unlike the film back (IIIN).

Is there any way to let my GX680III just fire the shutter? Or am I wrong somewhere else?

Did you check to make sure that the film type with your back is even going to be supported by Fuji once the supply of Polaroid runs out?

Early Riser: This camera doesn't allow me to take the film holder off if I don't put the dark slide in. I forgot where I have put my dark slide now, and I have to find it until I try your advice. <sigh>

FilmIs4Ever: Not sure if it will be forever, but this film back uses Fuji FP-100c / FP-3000B which are still abundant here.
