Fuji GX680 Remote Release

I just found a cheap remote release:

Will it work on my GX680 III?

Looks like the one I have and it works on my III.

Unfortunately the remote release for the I & II will not work on the III.

One yes, and one no. Well confusing.
Let's try my luck by buying the cheap one first

I have both remote releases, and a GX680III, and the release for the I/II does not work on the III. it is also stated somewhere in the manual.
