Dear APUG Members,

Have a chance to get a GX680 S model for trading some other equipment...

Was wondering if any APUG members have used this version of the camera?

Is it the same vintage as the Original, or model 2 or model 3?

From what I can tell the camera is more like an rb/rz67 with no front lens/bellows movement?

Please enlighten me, as I am not using it for architecture, mostly portraits with 190sf.

Many Thanks!

Has all the features of the GX680III but does not have tilt and rise. Great camera. Is later than the I and II and for portraits you will not need tilt/rise. Has the big plus that it runs off internal disposable batteries and does not need the very costly battery holders that are needed for the I and II.

I'm curious. Are all film backs usable on the IIIs version? Any lens for 680 can be used on the IIIs?

Yes, all backs fit the III and IIIs. And yes, all lenses can be used with all models.
