From what I understand it is made to take Linhof style boards. I've seen one or two on Ebay within the last six months so it is available if you are patient.

I would also like to know more about this topic myself - using large format lenses on a
Fuji Gx 680. So if anyone knows how this works as far as mounting the lens and firing the shutter please let us know.
thank you!

Does the Fuji have a focal plane shutter, or is it shutter in lens, as on a large format camera. Just wondering. Thanks.

(Moderator, I don't know what the system did on my last post, it seems to have only taken a sentence or so, and this is my attempt to put it all back in)

Gustavo,

Awesome dude, in trade?

Last January, I saw one at the camera store in Kanab, I don't know what other accesories he's got. ask Terry 435 644 5981, (he isn't in the store all the time.) Are you planning to use it in the studio? I don't know how long the battery packs last.

The Technika lens board adapter, listed at $193 10 years ago in B & H printed Professional source book. They didn't show a pic.

Paul,

The same catalog describes shutter as "Electronic control Seiko #1 between ('the' sic.) lens leaf shutter, shutter speeds 8 to 1/400 sec +B". I take that to mean there would not be a focal plane shutter, although I could guess that it needs some kind of curtain more than just the SLR mirror to keep the light off of the film.

I never had one of these, but I did look at them seriously when they were available. 9 pounds and battery packs kind of killed it for me.

Robert,

The same catalog notes ""Optional Linhof Technika/Wista lensboard adapter for mirror-up use with large format lenses." I don't know what the full implications of that means. It does have a MLU switch. Maybe you can do a manual MLU and then fire your lens with a cable release. Considering the camera is electronic controlled, 1 fps, (whoaaa, I guess your nudes could move real fast). At least you probably don't need to search for a tandem cable release.

I thought I had a printed brochure for this at one time, but I must have trashed it long ago.

The 680 works really well with lenses 180mm or longer. Shorter lenses need to be retrofocus in order to focus due to the distance that the camera body, mirror box, etc places between the lens and film.
