There is something rattling within the camera and the rangefinder patch is messed up. (I can see the patch split into 2 distinct bright spots)

Who is the definitive Fuji rangefinder repair person in the USA? East coast if possible.

Thanks

I had an excellent experience with repair of a GX617 lens at Fuji North America recently. I wouldn't hesitate to send it to them.

Thanks all. I actually work 10 minutes from Edison so will drop off the camera personally. Luckily, I also work within an hour of Hasselblad and Leica so would drop off personally. For some reason, I hate to ship cameras at all.

Let us know how it goes. My GW690III will need a shutter overhaul soon and my GA645 LCD display has some issues. I heard Frank can fix the LCD issue so thats why I mentioned him for possible work on your GW. I wonder if Fuji will can fix the meter on my Fujica ST701??

I haven't had to send anything to them yet, but I would be more than a little worried if they couldn't fix their own cameras...

I'd also highly suggest Nippon Photo Clinic in NYC for work on the big fujis. Best repair shop I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

Just a quick follow up.

I dropped off the camera last Tuesday afternoon at Fuji and got a call yesterday (Monday) that the camera was repaired and new light seals installed. It would have been even quicker but Bob, the repairman for the GW/GSW series, was sick a few days.

Kudos to Christine at the Fuji service counter for being extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Bob apparently felt badly that the camera was not serviced quickly enough, gave me a great deal . . . no charge!

I just want everyone to know that everyone I spoke to at Fuji was courteous, professional and sought to get answers for me if they did not know themselves.

Thanks to this thread, I feel more compelled to risk buying a GSW690 on eBay since nobody on APUG wants to let go of theirs.

Reviving this thread again and wondering what the current options are. My GW680III shutter won’t fire and the film won’t wind.
