I am selling my Fuji GSW690 II. I don't use it enough to have it just sitting around so up it goes. This is the wide-angle model of this rangefinder series and its 65mm f/5.6 lens has about the same field of view as a 28mm lens on a 35mm camera. The body is in good condition. I would rate it as excellent but when I received the camera back from a CLA (clean, lube, adjust ) with Frank Marshman at Camera Wiz, it was returned with a hairline crack on the side of the top cover (see photo). It in no way affects the viewfinder or the focusing or the image produced, but it is there. The viewfinder is clear and the rangefinder is perfectly aligned. There are a few minor scuffs on the bottom of the camera from tripod use. The bottom counter reads 123 (meaning approximately 123 rolls of film). The lens is perfect, shutter speeds accurate, clean glass, smooth action. Comes with original plastic Fuji lens cap.

$525, Paypal fees included. Buyer pays shipping, CONUS only, at actual cost with insurance.

I'm fairly new to selling online but have excellent feedback under the ebay name SOFLO3271, and the RFF name Marcuza.

Thanks for looking.

That is unfortunate -- I won't be sending him my GW690

I understand your hesitation. But I guess even good mechanics can have bad days. Frank had done several other repairs for me prior to this camera, mostly on lenses, and I've been very pleased with that work. He seems to be the go-to guy for repairs on these old Fujis.

Yes, Frank is one of the best. Did a great job on my Fuji GA645i.

I guess it depends on how it was handled. Did he tell you there was a crack after he was done? Did you inform him about it afterwards and if so, how did he react?

To make a very long story short:
No he did not tell me. Yes I informed him about it afterwards. Not being in his office at the time so he could actually check the paperwork, he confused me with someone else, denied damaging the camera and the conversation which followed was not pleasant. I thought to call him back at another time when he was actually in his office but I never did. I didn't want to confront him again, and risk more unpleasantries.

Sorry to hear that. That really sucks. Maybe an email with pictures may soothe things over. I've had some recent issues with people doing service work and yeah, I understand. It can be hard when you "actually" care about your things and others make a mistake or just want to get their work done. If it is an honest mistake, I think most good service providers would apologize or try to rectify that.
