Just picked up a minty Fuji GS645W camera, the light meter works, but I fired the shutter 2-3 times to check the speeds, and now the film advance won't work. Tried to open the back to see if that might be causing the lack of advancement, and took out the batteries, but still having the same issue. Is there something I'm missing? Or just got a lemon.

Problem just solved itself, the advance lever got jammed, I put a little force on the lever and it works fine now. Thankfully nothing broke, I think it was sitting around for a long time without use, just needed a good shove

One additional question, I loaded up the film and the counter is set at 1. But the film advance lever doesn't lock up if you try to advance it to 2 like other cameras I've had, it just keeps on going. I tried to advance through the whole roll just to see if it's broken, but it sounds like it's still set at 1. Is this a normal thing for these models?

Normal behavior is: Load film, align arrows. Close back. Operate film advance lever; repeat until it won't move; you are then at frame 1. After you actuate the shutter, the film advance lever is available to advance to frame 2. After frame 15 is shot, actuate film advance repeatedly until you "feel" that the backing paper is all on the take-up spool.

I see, I thought it was weird that the advance lever can keep going after frame 1 is set. Usually the lever locks when 1 is reached, after the shutter is tripped it unlocks time move to 2 for every other fuji I've had. Didn't know if this was specific to this model or not.
