That's the version I would want (but can't afford!). Looks like this one isn't a folder.

Not a folder. I had not noticed that till you mentioned it, Steve! Hmmm...maybe not as nice as I thought in the first place; it is certainly not as unique.
No but more rigid and the lens obviously doesn't need to extend out as far as it does on the normal version.

If this is what you think, I encourage you to do more research on this topic. It is certainly acceptable to use "as unique," and it has been for longer than my family has spoken English (at least 90 years on my dad's side).

It actually looks like there's really no need/room for it to be a folder. The folding mechanism of the GF670 protrudes from the body a reasonable amount anyway when folded, this is probably more or less the same while being ready to shoot.
I agree though, it's really nice to see Fuji listening.
It is probably at least as expensive as the original model, and likely moreso. Too bad. Looks lovely.

It's good to see and hear about this, regardless of price and whatnot. Just great that Fuji is still developing film cameras. Seems like sort of an extension of their GW/GSW line in a way - wide angle, fixed lens. Too bad it's not 6x9 too. It would be sweet to see them do an updated GSW690IV with a 43mm lens or something like that. ;-)
Look at the lens specs on this one though - 10 elements / 8 groups- that sounds like a biogon-style design to me. Clearly it will be excellent I'd think, and undoubtedly more expensive than the tessar in the folding version of the camera.
Still, a Mamiya 7 seems like a better choice in basically every respect.

Do you have any feeling as to whether Fuji would/could/should make this latest incarnation an interchangeable lens camera, as they did with the earliest versions? Personally, I have always thought it would be the bees knees to have an interchangeable lens RF! 
Granted, many people can be perfectly happy with a fixed lens RF (I have one myself in fact). But it seems that unless there were some major cost to adding a lens interface or some other design/performance constraint associated with it, it could only help to pick up additional sales for Fuji (in the form of lens purchases).
Anyway, I'm just musing; probably can't justify yet another camera anyway!

It depends on how big it is compared to my M7II, I have a Fuji 645 with AF, zoom and vertical frame but it's fairly bulky for the small neg. This looks pretty cool...EC

YES. A modern version of the old interchangeable lens 6x9s. Multi format 6x7 and 6x9. Basically a Mamiya 7 type, but with 6x9 capability. Now THAT I would save my pennies for...but then again, I feel that every 6x7 camera ought to be a 6x9 camera. How amazing would an RZ69 or Pentax 69 be?.

I think I'll have to get one of these if at all possible. Unless, of course, a Mamiya 7 with 50mm lens is available for less...

If we want new film cameras to keep being made, we're probably going to have to pay new prices for them.
While it's not up my alley, this looks like a most excellent camera, and a nice vote of confidence that film isn't dead.

A welcome development and more interesting to me than the 80mm camera, but I am sure I will hesitate when the price is announced. My guess it will be similar to the 80mm price.
