If you don't mind buying from Canada, Rob at Big Camera Workshops (an APUG sponsor) has this camera at $2,650.00 CDN. I'm sure he'd be happy to help .

Here is a link to the appropriate page on his website:

Edit: I cannot link directly - just click on the Voigtlander/Bessa link from the page referenced

FYI, Stephen Gandy at Cameraquest is taking pre-orders of the Voigtlander Bessa III version of this camera for $2250 currently. He says it's expected to ship in late May or Early June. If you're in the U.S., this might be the way to go.

Thanks for the tip. I have followed the rumors of introduction for this camera over several years. I really like the concept, although very happy with my Rollei 66 cameras. What interests me, is the lighter weight of the Fuji, acknowledging the lack of interchangeable lens capability.

However, before ordering this new product, I would like to hear reviews from those who have had the camera in their hands, shot film and made prints. Otherwise, it seems like a pig in a poke, and premature to jump at the initial introduction of the camera. Fuji has an excellent, and deserved, reputation in large format; I use their lenses and film.

I hope that this camera is another of their fine contributions to film photography, and will await reviews of the GF670.

I have a couple of their medium format cameras. Superb lenses. The only downside is that they all seem larger than they need to be.

Like you, I will be very interested to read actual reports from users and test results, now that we have been anticipating this camera for so long.

Hi guys, thanks for the link. Only one of my pre-ordered customers has his yet, all others still waiting. New orders take 1-3 months...

If you have deep pocket, go with SK Photo and a generous $800 tip for the favour...

Gandy says maybe a month.
I bought a Bessa II for two reasons. I've wanted one for a while as I like the 6x9 format (have a Fuji GW690II) and I thought it would stem the desire for a III. Well I was wrong as usual and put my deposit down on a III. After using the II, it made me want a III even more, though I am disappointed in the numbers on the Voigtlander website indicate the III is slightly larger (in all dimensions closed) than the II. I expected that it would be taller with the larger rangefinder unit, but I hoped it would be a tad less wide due to the shorter film gate. One of the great things about these cameras is they get in where a Hasselblad would not. In 'No Professional Camera' places, they don't bat an eye at an old folder.

sk_photo, the ebay seller, emailed me about an item I have for sale, to tell me my price is too high. he's been trying to buy this camera for a while. so I told him his price for the GF670 is too high and that another shop now has one for sale for $2736. In return, he dropped his price to $2766, still $500 above the retail price.
