Hi, New here. Maybe someone here has an answer to my issue.

My GF670 drains batteries after a couple days even when the camera is shut and supposed to be off. When the camera is shut the 1/500 reading on the in viewfinder meter is lit up. I imagine this is what is causing the issue? I'm not sure. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

Thank you!

The one time this happened to my GF, I cleaned the entire battery compartment and the lid (threads included) with Deoxit5. The issue has not returned. It might be something to try before sending it off.

Advance Camera in Oregon has a really good tech for medium format film gear. He's an old guard tech. There is up to a 3 month waiting list to get it looked at though.
