Not sure, but I think Japanese stock prices reflect cheapening effect of US dollar investments (dollar has been getting cheaper Vs yen...i.e. yen getting stronger). American stocks go up, Japanese stocks go down. Don't quote me on that, but ...

A while back, when I was thinking I might as well buy stocks in some photography-related companies, I looked into Fujifilm. Unfortunately, I couldn't actually figure out what to buy. From over here they seem listed as symbols "FUJIF" and "FUJIY" and its unclear whether either of those is the main stock for the actual Japanese company.

FUJIY is FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation America (an ADR) might need a investment or Tax expert to tell you which you might want to hold.

And "4901.T" seems to be the actual Japanese stock of FUJIFILM Holdings Corp, which looks vaguely similar (if you zoom out enough) to the behavior of FUJIY but is not an exact match.

The fun game is to guess the role of White House in exchange rate (effectively value of dollar...which WH both loves and hates in tweets).
