I've landed a dozen boxes of the stuff...
A "gift" or... so it seems.

BUT , I don't have a holder for the films.. it requires a "PA-1" or a "PA-145" holder.

Before I jump in and toss out the 150-230$ for one of these things I have to wonder..

Will the material continue to be available?

Anyone have any info on the matter?

You can get a good Polaroid 405 holder for much less than that, and the Fuji packs work fine in those. I'd guess Fuji is seeing an uptick in sales since Polaroid went away, even without any single-sheet product to offer. How long will they keep the film around? Who knows, really.

I kinda suspected that there'd be a dearth of info on Fuji's long term plans...
Although the concentrated purchasing power of instant material users doesn't hurt the long term prospects..
(question is - does it float the boat?)

Fuji seems committed to film. Now, that they are the only vendor for instant films, their market share is 100%. It should be around for a while. There are a ton of old Polaroid cameras, and polaroid pack film holders that can use Fuji's current products, not to mention all the ID cameras around. Lots of people still take Photo-ID's with instant films.

storing instant film

It is not in my intention to highjack this threat, but, while the subject about instant film is on, I have a little question.
What is the best way to store Polapan 100 B&W instant film longer than the 'use before' date?
I was told that freezing is absolutely out of the question.

I asked fuji the same question before i got my fujifilm 4x5 holder. They said not to worry.
BTW, there are many polaroid cameras that'll shoot this film. I got one for $2.
