Sorry if i ruined your day but what can i do about the F-Word company doing what they do, here it goes :

- Neopan Acros 100 in 4x5 and 8x10 Large format ( full discontinuation ) : May 2018.

- Velvia 50 / 100 and 100F 135-36 5 Packs : March 2018.

- Superia X-Tra 400 135/24-36 3 Packs : March 2018

- Natura 1600 135-36 ( full discontinuation ) : March 2018.

- Single use 1600 HI 36/27 cameras : March 2018.

Sigh.

But, this makes sense. I remember reading somewhere that Fuji does everything in house. Where all other film makers outsource at least one part of the production process. I wonder if they will ever consider doing this, and at the very least keep the films we have alive.
 
Does it really matter if they discontinue 3-packs and 5-packs if they continue to sell individual rolls?
 
I don't think they will stop making film alltogether, i think that if that were their intention they would have just discontinued everything, it's nowhere near their main market anymore, so they will probably continue to sell film in the future, but only the most popular ones, which would be Velvia and Provia.
I'm personally not suprised about Acros in large format and packs of Superia X-Tra going, those films really don't seem very popular and even a lot of film stockists don't carry those.
Natura 1600 is nice, but again not too popular so not suprised it's been axed.
 
Neopan Acros was available in 8X10 sheets?? I had no idea.
 
This was announced some months ago - mostly applies to stuff that was Japanese market only - sheet Acros in the rest of the world was largely grey market - which is illustrative of some of Fuji's odd business decisions - if you're not selling enough of a batch in (say) 24 months to a domestic market, why not sell it worldwide? Kodak, Ilford etc now have a global, not regional product catalogue - why can't Fuji manage that?
 
One more reason to support the big K instead! not only do they have a wider variety ( C-41 and B&W ) and better prices but they actually support film users, i'm only interested in Fuji's Velvia and Provia anyway, and if the new Ektachrome delivers good results, that will most likely be the end of my relationship with Fuji.

In terms of B&W it may be time to support the big H as well. It is becoming unique in not axing any of its films, having annual ULF production runs and producing an a range of film developers and paper that must be unrivalled in the analogue world.

If they discontinue much more they may as well retire and do a bit of gardening.

Kodak, Fuji and Agfa were the big ones. It made sense for them doing all in house. What would you advise Fuji to outsource?
 
The discontinuation of their ISO 1600 film had already been anounced quite some time ago, but it nevertheless is a major cut.
 
I will miss the Natura/Superia 1600. Great for gritty color work. I see the Superia 400 is still there...and work well for me for street work. That said, always sad to see this offering shrink.
 
Nothing about this on Fuji US site.

I did find this on Fuji Canada, Boy we miss out on the good stuff here in the States.
FUJIFILM Canada will also be creating a limited edition bundle that includes an “Oh-Canada” laser-engraved red INSTAX mini 70 camera and a 10 pack of “Oh Canada” film.
 
It is true that this was announced already in May but they said 2019.
Fuji are cutting back the less popular film stocks, not that many people shoot Natura 1600 or large format Acros.
I'm relieved though that they seem to not be discontinuing the 5-Roll packs of Provia 100F ?? i was thinking of getting 1 or 2 so i have enough slide film at least until the new Ektachrome is supposedly out in Spring-Summer 2018?

Whatever it takes for them to keep making film.

I know this probably has to do more with cutting back in certain areas to put more resources into their Instax, since in terms of film thats the biggest seller.
 
I'd love for there to be a1600 colour film in 120 format.
 
I thought Velvia 100F was gone ages ago...
So what IS available?
