Fuji colour paper

Just browsing around and seen that sites are listing Crystal archive as discontinued , Morco no longer list it at all.
I have found Kodak supra easier to use anyway but is Kodak now the only remaining colour paper ? I always thought BW papers would go before colour given the use of his to print digital images.

Anyone have any information on this ?

I know they say discontinued but I'm doubting that as freestyle are expecting a new batch

I'd wait to see if Fuji have deleted it why not call them in Bedford? (01234 217 724) They are normally helpful.

Fuji has only a few months ago started production of a new versions of chromogenic paper, a Chrystal-version with a different backing and Chrystal-version intented for digital printers.

While some retailers that don't sell a lot of it may stop stocking it, Fuji makes a lot and is likely to continue. It is widely used in one-hour labs even to print from digital files. Here in US, B&H, Calumet and Adorama all have stock. All Crystal Archive is now optimized for digital exposure, but works fine for optical exposure. It is quite fast, though, and may require some stopping down to give long enough exposures for accurate dodging and burning. You can also reduce light by adding neutral density with same amount of each filter (Y+M+C). Expect to see fewer options in sheets in the future as most of the production will be going into rolls for digital exposing machines.

The strange thing though is that Fujifilm does not list their halide papers at their global site, only at regional sites.

If they have upgraded the paper enough to give it new stock numbers, then indeed the former Crystal Archive paper would be discontinued. Unfortunately, many vendors don't give the whole story, nor do they care.

If you look at FujiFilm UK and Germany resp. you will find they have a different range of Chrystal papers listed...

Though the standard version of the Chrysrtal paper is seemingly the only one offered in sheets.

I've just had a call from Firstcall photographic in the UK to tell me they can't fulfill my Fuji Crystal Archive paper order because Fuji don't have any in stock and won't be getting any more. They never mentioned a replacement, but I can't believe there wouldn't be.

I suggest anyone in the UK make an order asap from your local stockist.
