Fuji CN-16Q, Fuji Enviroprint, AgfaColor and more

Hi!

I kind of bumped into a pretty large stock of Fuji CN-16Q, Fuji Enviroprint, AgfaColor kit. It seems to me this most likely belongs to a photographer that had to stop their shop and this is all pro grade material. Now, here's my question: Can I use this as amateur processing chemistry or is this pretty much impossible because it's far too specialised? If I didn't provide you with enough information to be able to know in this post, I have a detailed list at hand (but didn't want to bore you with it).

Really hope I can put some use to it, even if it's more than I'll ever be able to use!

The same materials can be used for color processing in a home darkroom. There's only one real C-41 color negative process, available as Flexicolor from Kodak, and CN-16 from Fuji-Hunt.

Similarly, Fuji Enviroprint is an RA-4 color print process.

You will need to download the instructions for these materials, but they are quite usable on a "sink line" basis. You can even use the Enviroprint for room-temperature print processing.

You will need to be sure that they aren't expired -- some components of these kits have inherent shelf life issues.

For B&W, about all that is useful is the CN-16 fixer, which is fully useful as a B&W fixer for film or paper. Well, some folks process Technical Pan in C-41 developer.

Thanks! I'd figured I would need to check the dates and indeed discovered that they're C41/RA4, but it's good to hear they're not different from what I'd get in the smaller packages As I shoot 99% colour I'll be fine with the C41 stock too, handy!

And now I have plenty of liquids to finally get my colour printing skills right, so that's a good thing too...

You may only have developer replenisher in those kits. You need to mix a little starter in with the replenisher to make a working solution, which is what you would need to do for one-shot use. Of course, you could also run replenished.

Shelf life of factory sealed developer is 18 months. So your developer may be shot. But that's OK, developer isn't that expensive, it's the bleach that's the most expensive part, and your CN-16Q is a starter/replenisher, so it's all you need. Claimed shelf life of that is 24 months, and you can probably regenerate it (bubble air through it with an aquarium pump and bubbler stone) if it's already tired.
