Some folks will VERY STRONGLY disagree with you.
I've used Rodinal for decades with outstanding results on many films.
However, it is not intended to be used with fast films.
Results with ASA 400 and above may be less than optimum.

Your opinion may be of significance to you.I know, but they are wrong.
I love Acros in Rodinal but I'm wrong about a lot of things!
Your opinion may be of significance to you.
It's not to anyone else.

Thanks! I believe you are doing the right thing by exposing at EI50. Mid tone separation is much better.
I am willing to bet most people have never compared and tested developers closely, matching the contrast on the same film. I have. Rodinal is the worst developer in the universe.
Certainly we're all a bunch of stupid lunks who have no clue how photography works.I am willing to bet most people have never compared and tested developers closely, matching the contrast on the same film. I have. Rodinal is the worst developer in the universe.

Andrew, Thank You! As you know, I listen to your thoughts w/ great care. My FP4 shots seem like they need more density also, so I'll try ei50 at least once with it. I *do* love the tones of FP4/HP5. The reciprocity is a bugger sometimes.
Well, it's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it.

IRodinal is the worst developer in the universe.
