I have 6 rolls of Neopan 1600 that I would like to trade for prints from the roll sent.
One roll per person with one to three 8x10 (or we can discuss other sizes/numbers) prints sent in return.

Shipping from Canada to anywhere included, but over $10 would need some extra from you. You provide shipping of prints with same stipulation.

Is there any particular type of print you are looking for? Street perhaps?

Also, is there a preferred developer to be used/paper/paperdev?

Otherwise, I would be interested.

No, I think my fascination with this exchange is that it is completely open, subject matter, process are yours. I only supply the film.

Can you offer a bit more about this film? I missed out on it; it seems to have come around during a long period when I wasn't doing photography and went away before my return. There's a post here about Diafine where the poster says his reason to want Diafine is Neopan 1600 - what speed does one get out of this combo and is that the reason for using it?

What kind of time frame would be you looking for for the prints?

Great idea but I'm a bit reluctant for a couple of reasons. One is my lack of time for darkroom work these days. I get into the darkroom when I can but not nearly enough. The other is that of feeling sure of having even one image good enough I'd want to share it off a roll of brand-new-to-me 35mm emulsion. Plus this being a specialized fast film, would have to look for the right subject/event/time for it as well.

This is a really cool idea. If you don't mind dusty scans, I would be interested.

I'll gladly participate. I only have the ability to print digitally right now, but I have a lot of experience with the hybrid workflow. My prints look worlds better than my stuff online. Is the offer still in effect?

Offer is still good, one roll left!
Everyone that has responded (other than Josh, who already PM'd) please PM me your address.

I have a trip in August that this would be really cool for, if you could wait that long....

Roger
I've only shot at box speed and developed in DD-X. The combination gives a really fine grain for 1600, in my eyes, and has a very nice tonality. The true speed may be closer to 1200, but I never felt the need to shoot it any way but box.
An example, http://www.flickr.com/photos/segedi/5096537981/in/set-72157625198332802
Bit hard to tell at that size, but I think it speaks to the sharpness you can get.

It looks like you're going to wind up with a nice collection of prints out of this. Should be nice to display them in your home and talk about them.

I hope this is just the beginning to this type of collaboration. If it all goes well, and I think it will, then I'd be interested in doing a different emulsion and/or format next. I also have a Bronica RF645 that I am think to be a traveling camera kind of project. Stay tuned!

Looking forward to getting something real interesting for you. Something definitely not found in Canadia!

Maybe next time we do 120?

Definitely 120! After this wraps (or mostly wraps) I'll ask for a favored emulsion. And we'll go from there.
I might setup a Web site to document this thing!
