I’m interested in a change up in my 50mm range, so I’m posting my Dual Range Summicron 5cm f2.0 w/ Eyes. I’d be interested in a direct sale or a trade + cash for a Nikkor 5cm f1.4 in LTM (with an M-adapter).

The Summicron is in great cosmetic condition, and I was told by the friend who sold it to me that it was serviced by Leica NJ sometime in the last 5-7 years. No paperwork in that regard, but I trust him.

The lenses are free from scratches and fungus; it has since redeveloped a small amount of haze on one side of a lens surface closest the iris visible under strong light. This happened in storage before I acquired it; I’ve never seen an effect on my images, though, and I’d presume it would be easy to remove it if you wanted. Focus is smooth and well damped throughout the ranges, and the aperture blades are clean – the aperture ring is a little stiff to move, but it functions solidly otherwise. The eyes, which came separately from the lens, are in good condition aside from some damage to the rear – looks like someone tried disassemble them in the past. I’ve used them with good success, though, so I can vouch that they focus accurately. I've provided some examples of the lens in close focus use. Also included will be an Leitz slip-on cap, rear cap, and filter.

This lens is the highpoint of Leitz construction – they never made them as good as this again! These lenses were handpicked from the general run of 5cm’s and I’ve enjoyed this one quite a bit. I’ve switched to wides for my Leica shooting, and this one sits idle. I want to try out the Sonnar derived Nikkor, as well as find this one a good home.

In direct sale: $675 + shipping – payment would be through PayPal, fee covered in that price.
In trade: Please PM me and we can talk price and condition. In summary, I suppose I would expect the Nikkor to be in similar condition (good cosmetics, scratch-free, a little haze is ok…if you give haze, you might get haze, I suppose).

Shipping would be via UPS or USPS, whichever is preferable.

Attached are two examples of use in the ‘close’ focus range; I’ll post pictures of the lens when I get home today also include some ‘normal’ range shots.

Sweet deal. I sold one in similar shape for $1100 years ago, so someone got a very good lens at a great price.
