This is one of the earliest Portrait Euryscop lenses with a focal length of about 11 inches and maximum aperture of f4.5. This lens with serial number 31279 offers a slot for waterhouse stops (none included) since the option for iris aperture was not yet available. Patina on the lens makes the etching on this hard to read because it has turned a dark brown, similar to bronze. Glass is in very good condition with no signs of balsam separation. Rated for whole plate, this will still work fine for 8x10 portraits with the bellows extended. Sale includes custom flange (made by S.K. Grimes) mounted to a SINAR lensboard. This lens is completely in front of the board, so there is no interference if you use it with a SINAR shutter.
