Friends and neighbors, you now have the unique opportunity to re-cover your Contax 139 for almost nothing. That's right, while cleaning my closet, I found a box of camera covers which I thought had been sold over a year ago. So, while these last you can buy fine re-covering kits for the insane price of $8.10 each. That price includes the cost of postage, but you better act fast because I may come to my senses when I realize what I'm doing here. You never know...it could happen. Several people have been waiting for me to come to my senses for decades. I'm told some have even placed bets on when it might occur.

About the covers: these are die-cut to precisely replace the cover on your camera and made from leather, composite leather or leatherette. They are all quite nice looking and are the proper thickness for your camera. Please see below for an image of the 139 kit in leatherette (the grain in composite leather matches this very closely). Unless otherwise specified, I only have these in black. Since I don't own the dies, I can't custom cut a cover out of muskrat or rattlesnake or linoleum or anything else. However I think you'll agree $8.10 total for this is better than you'll find anywhere and remember...I'll mail them anywhere you live for this price. Please let me know if you have any questions. You will also receive instructions on how to replace the leatherette (the success of which with any re-covering kit is directly related to how well you clean the old adhesive off of your camera).

PayPal ok for international buyers but mail-in payment for buyers in the USA please.

For the 139 I only have covers in black.

Jon

Sorry...just noticed there were some mixed genuine leather covers in this box also. I have:
two in black...rather glossy, medium grain. Not bad looking
two in a semi-dark red (heading into cranberry) with more pronounced grain. Should look good installed, matte finish--no gloss
two in a purplish-oxblood color. Fine grain as would have been used by a bookbinder. Rather glossy.
two in a dark blue color. Fine grain as would have been used by a bookbinder. Also rather glossy.

And then there are 2 in an imitation leather snakeskin which has really tested my gag reflex resistance. These two are terrible and that is the best I can say. They could be dyed and might be ok if somebody wanted to do that. One is a tan/mauve color and one is a tan/dark brown color. Any snake with skin like this would have to take serious depression medicine in order to just get up in the morning. If in the snake world there is a position requiring celibacy...any snake looking like this would be perfect for it. If you want either of these, get $3.10 in my hand. If you want both of them, send me $4.10.

Hi Tom,
I don't always, but it seems more easy for me to read. Maybe my computer monitor is going out? Maybe I'm going blind? Man oh man, do you think those old wive's tales were true?

There have been questions regarding the cost of postage...particularly as respects postage to other countries. The answer is $8.10 for each cover includes the cost of postage. No matter where you live...Walla Walla, Bangalore, Edinburgh or even Fort Worth. $8.10 is the total cost for each kit.
