This thing is a strange beast. It is lovely to look at and seems to be in wonderful condition–even the dial-set Compound shutter works pretty consistently (I don't vouch for accuracy, but it doesn't hang up at all). It is mounted on a small metal lens board that will be unlikely to fit anything you have, but since it was designed for plate cameras (9x12) you may find that you have just the thing. The design doesn't leave me totally confident that it will cover 4 x 5, but information on the web seems to say that it does, but with little or no movements possible. What I do know is that it takes a lot less bellows than a standard 270- more like 152mm, making it a dynamite option for a medium format camera like the Baby Speed. It comes in its own metal storage box and has no noticeable marks on the glass. I do not say that it is perfect, but I can see no flaws. Uncoated.

The great Margaret Bourke White is said to have owned and used one, but on a 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" Linhof.:

It may be of interest to note the fine photographic equipment Miss Bourke-White has available for covering her assignments.
She has the following cameras: a 3”X4” Linhof, with which she uses two Tessar lenses, one an f4.5 with a 13.5 cm. focus, and the other also an {4..$ with a 15 cm. focus, an Angulon f6.8, 9 cm. lens, a Tele xenar f5-5, 27 cm. lens, and a Tessar f6.3, 18 cm. lens…

Recent research has me thinking that the 9x12 and 4x5 information may be only valid on the later, coated lenses. Let's be safe and say that this is a good lens for 3.25" x 4.25" or 2.25" x 3.25" and nobody will get upset. Price dropped to $190, shipped in US.
