This is a Symmar 300/5.6 500/12 convertible lens in a working compound shutter. Perhaps not the best looking example of this lens but it is a fine user suitable for portraits on 4X5 and 5x7 and landscapes on 8X10. Glass is in good condition with a few cleaning wisps and the usual dust specks. Someone at some point tried to remove the rear lens cells and left scratches on the barrel but none on the glass. The shutter fires at all speeds and to my ear they sound close with 1 and 1/2 being a bit slow. Shutter and aperture blades are oil free. Shutter is flash synchronized with a standard outlet but I have no way of checking if it functions. Comes with retaining ring and front and rear caps. If you are looking for a reasonably priced 300 and 500mm lens in working shutter this could be for you.
