I picked up a project camera a while back that I still haven't found time for: A Seneca Improved (Type II) 5x7. Time to let someone else have a go at this one:

The wood is complete, near as I can tell. And it's not the typical black lacquer that's seen on the Improved View, but a clear finish on the mahogany. The wood's in good shape; finish could use some renewing. It's lacquer, so it's easy.

The hardware is another story. There's a lot missing. There's a lot there, too, but some key parts (gear racks, shafts, pinions, etc.) aren't in the box. Someone enterprising might could hunt these parts down, or source what they need from McMaster Carr or somewhere. But be clear - there's a lot of hardware missing.

That said, I think this is a doable project for the right person, or a treasure trove of usable parts for cobbling together a camera from donors. Looking for $100 plus shipping (should all fit in a large flat rate box). I'll cover the PayPal fees.

Thanks,
Scott
