This is an old brass "landscape" lens consisting of a cemented doublet. Also good for portrait. Dates to the 1890's, I believe. Glass has marks and some bubbles, but is still a good shooter. I estimate focal length about 9 inches.
There is a spring in the front, I guess to hold apertures, you could make some out of black cardboard. The glass is slightly loose in the barrel. I am unable to turn the ring to tighten it, but a couple dabs of rubber cement will hold it still.
