For sale is my 150mm f/5.6 convertible lens for 4x5. When you remove the front element it becomes a 265mm f/12 lens. This is a Schneider-Kreuznach Symmar, one of a renown series of convertible large format lenses made in Germany from the 1950s to the 1970s. It has an image circle of 210mm and provides great coverage for 4x5, allowing for lots of movement. It includes both caps as well as the retaining ring for mounting it to your lens board - you will need a board with a #0 hole, readily available on eBay if you don't have one.

For a review of this lens, see this page: http://www.kenrockwell.com/schneider/150.htm

The lens was completely overhauled 5 months ago by CameraWorks in Barrie (receipt showing the lens serial number will be provided to the purchaser) and is in outstanding condition optically and mechanically. The shutter fires beautifully at all speeds without hesitation, and the self-time functions perfectly. The only thing about it that is not MINT is the spotting on the inside of the element casing, commonly known as "Schneideritis". It is the result of the aging of the black paint that Schneider used to coat the inside of their lens barrels for many decades. It is well documented and if you are looking at this lens you probably already know about it. It does NOT affect the image or optical performance in anyway. This lens is priced fairly in consideration of this, as well as in consideration of it having been completely overhauled recently.

$300 to me, shipping from Toronto at your expense, fully insured.
