Up for sale, my Schneider Super Angulon 121/8.

The glass is in beautiful shape. If there's a mark anywhere on it, I can't find it. The shutter is accurate and smooth, the aperture snappy and oil-free. No signs of separation or flaws. The chrome on the side, as shown in the photo, has some marks and scratches, but these are only cosmetic. I bought the lens as a wide for 5x7 with tons of movements; it will, however, cover 8x10 with minimal movements. The shutter (I believe it is an unmarked Synchro Compur) is marked B/1/2/3/10/25/50/100/250/500, stops from f/8 to f/45, and is M and X flash synch'd. It's tack-sharp and in wonderful shape.

An example from this lens, shot wide open:

I'd like $525 plus insured shipping for this lens. Lensboard not included, though flange is. Unless you have a Seneca Improved View, then we can talk on the lensboard...

Well your forgiven as English isn't your native language  It says 1, 2, 5, 10 . . . .

It's a very nice lens, the integral shutters are "Synchro Compur's" the coating is also remarkably good despite being pre MC. I have 4 pre MC Super Angulons and they are flare free even shooting into the sun (inside the image circle).

Being from both sides of the pond....
I believe that should be 'You're forgiven' or 'You are forgiven'; which is also a line from a great song by The Who.

It is a good lens. I like mine a lot. I wish I had it in a shutter, but it is SINAR DBM.

Well, folks, here's the deal: I like this lens. But I also like film. And it's been pointed out to me more than once that, even though my asking price may be in line with previous sales and way under all the ludicrous BINs on eBay, I've been overly optimistic.

I'm on the fence. I like this lens on 5x7 a lot, but again, consumables are killing me. If anyone has an offer they'd like to make, it may sway me one way or t'other on this...

Well, after some pondering and soul-searching, I think I'm keeping the 121/8 and switching formats. Sell off the 8x10(s) and get a 4x5. Phooey. So, fer now, I'm a-keepin' this lens.

Thanks for your time, everyone.

Someone's got to want a beautiful wide for 5x7, capable of marvelous close-ups, or a spectacular normal for 4x5?
