I am having two cameras (a Kodak Medalist I and a Leica IIIF) cla'd and to help pay for the clas I have reluctantly decided the sell my Rolleiflex Automat K4 with a Zeiss-Opton 75mm 3.5 Tessar lens that I purchased from a fellow Apuger last year.
The serial number is 1133489, the serial number for the Tessar lens is 529305. The shutter speeds sound accurate, although 1/2 sec. sounds more like 1 second, and 1 second sounds more like 2 seconds.
The camera is solid and functional. Cosmetically it isn't perfect, the chrome is dull, and there is some paint loss on the panel above the Rolleiflex logo. It's a reliable performer that's meant to be used, not wasted on a shelf. The leatherette was replaced just before I purchased it. The self timer works.
The Tessar lens performs exceptionally well despite some minor dust and some discoloration of the lens coating on the front lens element (see photo 6).
I flocked the lens/film chamber to maximize reduction of flare (see photo 5).
Included is an original Rollei lens cap.
