Hi.
Over yonder is my Rolleiflex 3.5F Planar for sale. I'm also including a Bay II Rolleinar III closeup filter, silver matted lens caps, lens hood and 2 leather accessory cases. I purchased it April of this year. Within this year, the previous owner had it completely re-skinned and overhauled by Horst Wenzel in Vancouver. It's relatively bright but it stands out beautifully.
Lenses are in great shape for its age. Nice and clean and the negatives are crisp and evenly toned. Cosmetically, the body is also in great shape thanks to the new skin. The metal shows some signs of wear but nothing noticeable right off the bat. The interior is very clean along with the viewfinder which is bright for its age thanks to the recent CLA. There is a tiny mark on the screen but I don't notice it when shooting. It's mechanically flawless and is a joy to use. I'd say the meter is about 1 stop off from my spot meter and 1.5-2 stops off from my incident.
I purchased this TLR with intent and was not disappointed one bit. I wanted the 6 element Planar and was pleased with the results both optically and portably. I took this camera out west for 10 days and trekked through forests and mountain ranges and the Rollei packed along quite nicely. (I'm a small duder) Unfortunately, my soul sings when using a rangefinder for decisive moments.
The reason for selling is Chicago isn't very mobile during the winter and I've been wanting to build a little studio in my apartment. I feel the flexibility of an RZ67 along with additional backs would benefit my current endeavors. I also want to focus on printing using a 6x7 ratio.
