I recently bought this Rolleicord V (serial 1546796) from Ebay but since my old faithful Ford Focus may need some work, I have decided to put it up for sale. The good about it is that the leatherette is intact, the lens is clear and fungus free, the aperture blades are clean. The bad is the only reliable shutter speeds seem to be 1/60 and up so it will need a cla. The shutter is slow on the slower speeds and sometimes hangs up with the really slow ones. The blades always go back though. The self timer is very slow, I wouldn't try it again until a cla is done. It also comes with an original Rollei cap (not pictured) and a leather case although the strap has been worn off and missing, probably a long time ago.
The plus side is that it is a very good performer in terms of sharpness. I bought it because I love the early shots of the Beatles in Hamburg, West Germany taken by Astrid Kirchherr. I believe that she used a Rolleicord V and I like the idea of using the same model of camera that helped take those iconic photos. (Yes, not only am I a photo geek but a history geek as well). I'll be getting another one someday!
