the CE-Rokkor and CE-Rokkor-X are identical, and rate as one of the
best fully colour corrected enlarger lenses of the period. CE stands for
Colour Enlarger, and these lenses were near apochromatic. They differ
from the E-Rokkor (50mm f4.5 etc) which are only corrected for blue, the
main sensitivity of graded black and white papers. E-Rokkor lenses do
not produce sharp results on colour paper, or on multigraded papers
which are colour sensitive. CE-Rokkors do. For the same reason, they are
much sharper as macro lenses too.
