This is a compact and lightweight folding camera made by Rochester Optical & Camera Company, about 100 years ago. It weighs about 3.5lbs. It is a self-casing design. The bellows are flexible and seem to be in good shape. It has front tilt and rear tilt and swing. The lens is a ROC 4x5 Symmetrical with good usable glass, with a nick or two to the front surface. I believe it could be used as a convertible lens with longer focal length by just using the front or rear cell. The shutter only fires at about 1/30th second, and B and T.
This camera needs restoration. It is missing its ground glass focusing panel, the wooden panel that holds the ground glass. Camera needs cleaning inside and out. The leather covering is not in good condtion and has peeled off missing on the bottom and the back. Part of the bed rails are broken, so best not to extend the rail completely.
Anyway kind of a cool project camera for those that like to work on cameras. Add the 5x7 focus panel, or a 4x5 back.
