For Sale FS: Retina IIa Exc/VG $60 +ship

I got 2 Retinas on my mini Retina binge last month. The second one is a IIa. Cosmetically it is Very Good, mechanically and optically Excellent. Take a look at the photos, there is slight discoloration on some of the trim but no dents or dings. Leather is excellent. Schneider Kreuznach Xenar f2 50mm lens looks flawless. Synchro Compur shutter is accurate and consistent, though 1/500 measures actual 1/300 and 1/250 is measured 1/175- normal for a leaf shutter. All speeds 1/125 and below are dead on. Viewfinder is a little foggy (not bad at all), rangefinder is easy to see and accurate. Bellows are fine. Smooth wind. Case included. A really nice user, and it’s even smaller than the III. Film Tested!
How about $60 for this beauty plus $12 shipping in the US. PayPal preferred.
I think $10 Leica guy should up his budget and get a Retina.

I was very surprised myself- I had 2 Retinas up for sale and they each sold in less than 10 minutes. I had no idea they were so popular, though I can see why after using them briefly.
