A rare Wollensak Verito 22 1/4" extension lens element in excellent condition is offered for sale.
I originally had the element listed and sold two years ago for $850. The deal fell through and I have steadily reduced the asking price on a few other sites (LFF, MWLFA, etc.) in $50 increments down to the current asking price of $700 USD net to me before actual insured shipping. USPS postal money orders preferred, but I'll also accept a personal check or a certified bank check drawn on a US bank and ship once the check clears. A Western Union money transfer is also OK for domestic or international transactions. Sorry, no Paypal.
This lens element replaces the standard front element of a Wollensak 18" f/4 Diffused Focus Verito lens. The lens focal length then increases to form a 22 1/4" f/5 Verito. The Verito lens was used extensively for commercial studio portraiture and in classic Hollywood portraits of the early 20th Century.
This extension element is in excellent condition. It almost looks new and is certainly the best example I've ever seen offered for sale in the used market. They don't come up for sale very often, particularly anywhere near this condition. It is not mint, but you will not be disappointed. If you are even considering buying a large, fast, portrait lens for an 8x10 or larger camera, you should give this extension element and the 18" Verito that it fits serious consideration.
I'm relisting this optic now at a reduced price because I am in the process of buying a house and need some extra cash at the moment.
