OK, keep in mind this says "Leitz" on it, and is thus RARE AND VALUABLE AND DESIRABLE AND SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO HAVE FOR NO GOOD REASON.

I sure did. And now it can be yours!

This is a Leitz "PRADO" projector that has been converted to project microscope objects, such as bugs' eyes, eylashes, moth wings, whatever. It contains a 3-objective stage, all three objective GENUINE E. LEITZ MICROSCOPE objectives, so this is the genuine article!

And, seriously, it is kinda cool. Sadly, I don't have the power cord for it, and also not much desire to project microscope slides anyway. It does contain a bulb that I hope works, and many lovely condenser lenses, and I bet it does a wonderful job.

How much for this RARE and UNIQUE and HIGHLY DESIRABLE object?

How about $75 and I pay the shipping anywhere in the US that the US Postal Service can find? Really, it's worth it just for the chance to tell your friends "Look, something from Leica for under $1,000 that isn't a lens cap!"

Open to offers.

First paypal to summicron12000@yahoo gets it. Thanks for looking

Charlie, for curiosity what are the objectives?
3.5:1, 10:1 and 25:1, whatever that means. Orders of magnification, I guess.

Three E. Leitz Wetzlar microscope objectives, probably cost $1,000 each in today's money, asking$25 each and I throw in the rest for free.

Thanks for the reply.

Ages ago I bought a YELUU projection microscope attachment for some Prado projector or other. It came with a 25/2.8 fixed aperture Summar in RMS thread. I asked about the lens on usenet, was told that it was completely useless as a taking lens. Not so. I tested it against two 25/3.5 Luminars at 5:1, 10:1 and 15:1. It was better than both at all three magnifications.

Given this nice surprise, anyone who's interested in doing fairly high magnification photomacrography should think seriously about your rig as a source of lenses that just might be very good.

I don't know anything about the projector but I do know that some microscope objectives sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars each. If I were you, I'd investigate the value of those before letting the set go too cheaply.
