As I'm moving up to 8x10, it's time to move this on to someone else. This system includes two parts:
1) Pin registered negative carrier. This is a modified Femoneg carrier to fit the Durst L1200 enlarger. The carrier was professionally modified by Alistair Inglis. Look him up, hes done some great things for the darkroom worker. The top and bottom inserts have been modified as follows. Two registration pins have been added to the bottom insert, as well as a glass. The top insert has an AN glass with two holes to accept the pins from the bottom insert. The Femoneg works perfectly. I used the carrier both for exposing the masking film on the baseboard, and above the enlarger lens to expose the paper with masks and negative in perfect registration. I also have some diffusion material for making masks with.
2) The second part is the punch for making holes in the negative. For this I use a Durst MIVALO. This is a very solid and accurate professional punch. Its also very rare. I hunted a long time to get this one. Its in perfect condition, and built like a tank. Its currently set up for punching holes in both 4x5 sheets as well as 8x10 sheets. The 4x5 holes match up perfectly with the femoneg carrier above.
Im not sure what to ask for all this. The last time I saw a MIVALO for sale it ended at a crazy price! The modification to the femoneg alone cost me more than $350. I think that $650 is a reasonable price for both. PayPal and shipping cost for the buyer. Keep in mind that this stuff is heavy, and shipping from Canada could be expensive! Let me know what you think
