Pentax 24mm f/2.8 SMC M (k-mount) lens with case and Hoya skylight filter. Glass is excellent...I don't see any scratches or marks anywhere. I had to squint very hard but I did see a few specs of dust around the edge of the glass. There is also some **very** light wear around the aperture grip (visible in photo). Aside from this, the lens looks new and barely used.

Also included is the original Pentax hard case, rear cap, and Hoya 52mm skylight filter. I do have the front cap, but one of the 'pincher' tabs came loose and I can't get it back on. I'll include it anyway since I don't know what else to do with it.

Asking $125 Paypal shipped anywhere in the US. Shipping outside the USA will be extra.

Highly recommended original SMC Pentax "K" series bayonet lens.
Not an -M ("miniature") lens but quite compact, with excellent build quality...

As far as I know, Pentax never made an M-series 24mm, which is a great shame as 24mm is a focal length that I use a lot. My disappointment stems from the fact that because I use M series lenses plus the standard (non-M) 24mm the difference in filter size can be a hassle, meaning I have to take two sets of filters (49mm & 52mm) and can't just swap lens caps when changing lenses.
I wonder why Pentax didn't make a 24mm M? Perhaps it was an issue with re-packaging the existing optics. They did, though, make a 20mm M-series lens with 49mm filter size, which is very useful on occasions.

Yup, this is a SMC K (non-M) lens. I thought that since this was a non-A lens, it was considered a Manual. Apparently there's a difference though. Sorry for the mix-up!

It is a lens favoured by the DSLR Pentax people...

Yes it is! I'm surprised at how many Pentax DSLR shooters use these manual focus lenses. I've only used it with my LX's though. A great lens but I just bought the 24mm SMC-A and don't need this any longer.
