To sell or trade for an Ultron 28/2; I have a Nokton 35mm 1.4 lens in leica M mount, Like new in box with dedicated Voigtlander hood and B+W MRC protective filter. This is the Single Coated version and has beautiful old school rendering when you shoot in black and white.

Barely used, No issues or blemishes, I purchased this new from Cameraquest less than a year ago. All paperwork is included.

I'm selling because it's redundant with my old 35 Summicron and I carry the Leitz lens more often.

In a perfect world, I would like to trade it for a Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f/2.0 in similar or good condition, plus. Did I say that already?

$495 (firm) net to me if sold outright. Ships to Paypal verified addresses and only to members with a history on APUG.

Some pics to come once I get the digital thing going...

Best Regards,
Jim

As promised, some photos...one shows the lens compared photo 3.JPGin size to the Summicron, another shows it mounted on my M4-P

iPhone photos... sorry!

Nice lens. I have the MC version and it's only one of two lenses I took with me on a trip to use with a Bessa R3A. Between that and a 15mm, everything got good coverage.

If you use it with colour film you get less saturation & lower contrast on contrasty days. ..

If you have a high number >7 Leica it helps sensor burn out too.

Which version of the cron is that? Have you ever done side by side on film comparisons?

Dan, I'm not sure which version, it's Canadian, 1969 and it has the little aperture ring tab.

Never did a real side by side comparison, I'll admit I'm not much of a "lens head". The 'cron is a bit smaller, has more contrast (if that's what you like), and the front element is recessed so I can use it without a hood if I want. I use it more often I think, because it's a bit smaller.

I do prefer the aperture ring on the Nokton... It's just easier to find in a hurry!
