Hi Apug.
I'm selling this Olympus 35 UC.
This is a very rare camera. It is the last iteration of the Olympus 35 SP.
It is 100 % identical to the olympus 35 SPn except for the cosmetics (it has the black trim on the front).
There are both good news and bad news with this camera.
The good news first:
The lens is in superb condition. There isn't a mark on it.
All the shutter speeds work great.
The light meter works and is accurate with the correct battery (an original mercury battery will be included in the sale, it still has some juice left in it but not a lot)
The finder is clean and clear.
Cosmetically it is in very nice condition.
Now for the bad news:
The rangefinder is out of alignment and will need to be re-alinged.
The winding lever doesn't return automatically you have to help it back (see the pictures).
The light seals needs replacing.
The shutter button itself is somewhat loose and it doesn't trip the shutter until right at the end of it's travel.
The front lens assembly is a little loose (very common on old fixed rangefinder cameras, has no effect on performance and easily corrected during CLA)
All of the issues this camera has is easy to solve during a routine CLA.
Considering this camera's age it deserves a CLA anyway if you plan on giving it any regular use.
For some this is a collectable camera because of it's rarity.
Don't forget that this camera has the legendary 42mm Zuiko G f1.7 lens. Probably the best lens ever put in a fixed 35mm rangefinder (it easily equals leica).
Because of the fact that it needs a CLA I'm offering it for the price of 100 euros plus shipping.
I take paypal, but ship worldwide. I will only ship with tracking. Shipping costs depend on where in the world you are.
